New in iOS 18.5: changes to Mail, Screen Time, Pride Harmony wallpaper
Apple needs desperately to go all in on ai, to the extreme. I should be able to use my mac and be like “why do my finder windows fly out of the way every time I click on my desktop?, stop doing that ! “ Instead we have to use an antiquated and bloated “system settings” and proceed to navigate to “Desktop & Dock” , in a sea of layered and buried settings, then locate the “Desktop & Stage Manager” heading, then from the “Click wallpaper to reveal desktop” section select the pulldowm menu from “Always” and change it to “only in stage manager”. Yea exhausted yet because I am. -
Apple turns to Anthropic to speed up coding & fix buggy tools
Xcode has been a horrible experience since day one. Provisioning is certain hell and full of issues. Debugger and so many errors it’s a joke. Paying to be a developer is ridiculous, essentially paying to run your own apps and being charged for a totally abandoned shotty experience is and has been pure hell. Oh but wait you can get a free dev account…. Sure good luck with that enjoy provisioning hell every so months. Lame & broken & you pay money for it! No thanks. -
Apple pauses iOS 18, macOS 15 work to stomp bugs now
Yes please bug fix, refine, refine, refine. When special Apple iCloud features like handoff and continuity, (copy and paste between devices; use one mouse keyboard across all devices.) works it’s amazing. The second it stops working is beyond angering/devastating. Make these iOS sync technologies work 100% of the time, and remove the need to have so many necessary requirements and checks to “make sure” it somewhat works. Turning on off is an easy fix, but annoying. Making sure Bluetooth is on, WiFi is on and connected to same network, settings are turned on, etc etc. is awful. Please Apple, hopefully this will improve! -
