In US at least Apple offering 6% back (double the usual 3) if you purchase by 31December. It shows up when you open AppleStore app, and personalizes comparisons to your existing phone model. Quite nice!

So probable range of users in first few months is 1 million (if average credit is $10,000) to 5 million customers (if average credit is $2,000). Either way that's good start, and more importantly lots of room to grow.... on a personal note over two months I find this Applecard experience to be the best and most convenient. Initially I worried it might be too nagging, being embedded as a heavy phone user, but it's not. There's some Apple magic at work to make a dull or irksome experience kind of pleasurable.

To follow up on apple watch, UK's Guardian review today went so far as declaring this new model so much of a differentiator as a reason to convert and buy an iphone. Quite a rave five star review from frequent skeptic.

The last time Apple did somewhat equivalent was responding to analyst reports of China fears circa late Dec 2018 if I recall. Someone at AI must track. But same day rebuttal of single analyst is unique, I think. Shows that Apple guards rep of its committment to new push seriously.... As for licensed content point of @maestro, I think that is one reason Apple can price TV and Arcade at 50 percent lower than Apple Music and News+. If the scale is there, these need not be introductory rates.
