Not the majority on this forum. But in the country? See the recent election.
Trump got 49.8% of the vote. So the majority didn't It vote for him, they voted for someone else. Further, his approval rating is 46%.
That you had no regard for the truth and just stated what you would like to be true is probably why you are such a fan. You both have that in common.
the majority certainly did vote for him. It was a three-way race. He received more votes than any of the other two.
If it were a two way race, then he’d have lost with under 50%. But split the voter turnout three ways, and he got the majority. Which is simple fact.
Business-wise, makes sense for the family organization to do this. Capitalize on popularity and make some money.
No, it doesn’t make sense, because that’s unethical and wrong. It’s why we ask presidents to divest prior to coming into office. It only makes sense if one is void of ethics and doesn’t mind doing wrong.
Is the president involved? I thought his family took it over in 2017. Or is the family not allowed to make a marketing connection to the fact that their father was and is the President? Donald Trump Jr. is not Donald Trump Sr.
You thought wrong. Yes, the president is involved. He is enriching himself while in office, profiting from the very same industries which he affects with tariffs, executive orders and social media posts. He is doing crypto currency deals with foreign countries while making state visits.

So, you don't know what the word majority means. What you are describing is plurality not a majority.

Okay, *looks at recent election*
Total number of people in America: 340 million
People that voted for Trump in 2024: 77 million
People that voted for Trump in 2020: 74 million
People that voted for Trump in 2016: 62 million
You can't count the total population, as a bunch of those aren't even eligible to vote (due to being underage, and to systematic disenfranchisement of convicted criminals in many states). You also cannot count those who didn't vote, since NOT voting automatically means tacit agreement with whatever the outcome is.
Total number of votes in 2024: 156 million.
Trump got 49.4% of total votes cast.
This. Any one eligible to vote that didn't vote for Harris gave tacit approval to Trump. I hope they've learned from this.
I'd say giving tacit approval is accurate. To anyone objecting to the word, I'd say any eligible voter who didn't vote for Harris has shared responsibility for Trump being elected, regardless of any individual's reason for not voting.
I voted against him the first time as he was unsuited at that time to be POTUS. But he was elected in spite of his track record as an unethical, unscrupulous, frequently failed businessman, who had not real knowledge of how government works. I voted against him this last time. Even after he demonstrated those characteristics as POTUS, he was elected again.
I suspect/expect a good many supporters no longer see him as what they thought they were voting for. I further suspect/expect a very large number of people eligible to vote but who sat it out, wished they had voted for Harris. Like those who still believe he's not acting in his own interests and is putting the country first, those who believed they were "making a statement" by not voting, wish they would have made a different statement.
Despite all of that, voters knowing now what they should have known then, he still theoretically could have been re-elected, despite losing the popular vote as he did in 2016. Would the EC have elected him in the face of overwhelming popular votes for any opposition in 2024? I'm not confident they wouldn't have. I've concern for the 2028. I hope voters don't make the same mistake they did last time.
Whichever way Tr*mp won, whether the systematic disenfranchisement of non-Republican voters is legitimate or not:
We learn here that Tr*mp supporters are apparently fine with him just outright lying about the phone being "made in America".
Noted.
Where did “he” (President Donald J Trump) say that? Cite your source.
You’re trying once again to claim that Donald Trump has nothing to do with this, which is bullsh*t. You know it, and certainly everyone else here knows it.
Plausible deniability actually has to be plausible. Pretending it is when it isn’t is just an embarrassingly transparent lie.
Then they’d have a much better claim to “made in the USA” and also avoided the perpetual privacy risk that is android.
Trump does not concern himself with truthfulness.
Besides, Purism’s phones are $2,000 and there’s not much evidence that they’re producing them in any numbers. None of that works for the grift that Trump & Co are pursuing here. Claiming Chinese made phones are “built in America” is much more on point for these folks. Clearly his fans will believe anything anyway.

Incorrect. Spherical made the claim that president trump was lying about the trump mobile phone. It’s a false claim. The president hasn’t said anything about it. So he couldn’t be lying about it. And you are merely guessing/hoping DJT is involved. Try to keep up.

And I know the PureOS phones are costly. But it’s a USA led effort. The OS not being Google’s “you are the product” Trojan horse would be a plus as well. But the kids are going to do what they’re going to do.

Ha, funny how you are very concerned about false claims unless it is you that is making them. You claimed Trump won the majority of the country, and when confronted with the fact that he didn’t, you doubled down and created a new definition of the word majority. Then, when corrected, complete with dictionary citation, you didn't have the integrity to acknowledge a mistake and instead you just fled the conversation. Not surprising, if anything typified Trump and his cult it is cowardice. You have zero credibility when it comes to lecturing others. Try to keep up.

incorrect. I said "majority." Not majority of the country. I assumed anyone with a brain knew the context meant majority of voters (who cared enough to show up) in a 3 way split. As in majority compared to the Democrat nominee and majority compared to the Independent candidates. Can't be a false claim just because someone's doesn't understand context..
Trump was elected president by a majority vote. It was comprehensive, encompassing both the popular and electoral vote. You may not like it, just like much of the country did not like the previous admin. But it is what it is.
But apparently you are cool with people like Sph*ric attributing statements to people who never said them so long as it fits your narrative, so...
To recap, Trump Mobile is a thing. It was announced and was brought into being by the family of the president who run an organization that he handed off to them years ago. It is unfortunately a bit cringe in execution if a decent idea. The phone itself is mid at best. AI thinks it is a reskinned REVVL, Engadget disagrees and thinks it's something else which more closely aligns with the body style. The marketing and design is horrible. The service quality will be as good as Liberty Mobile I suppose. And Donald J Trump has said exactly nothing (publicly) about this venture.

You are much like your hero, in that you think that by repeating a false statement, you make it true. It’s still a lie. The Oxford dictionary defines majority: “▪ US English the number by which votes for one candidate are more than those for all other candidates together.” No matter how many times you say he did, Donald Trump did not win a majority of votes cast for President in the 2024 election. He has never won a majority of votes cast in any presidential election.
You also keep claiming Trump’s public silence on his phone grift means he has nothing to do with it. We all know that’s not true. At some point, he will say something about it, and you’ll pretend you never made this argument while you scramble for a new ridiculous twisted logic to claim this is all ok.
“Trump Mobile is also excited to announce it will release the “T1 Phone” in August. It is a sleek, gold smartphone engineered for performance and proudly designed and built in the United States”
That is a lie. It’s on Trump.com — which, I must assume, is the current president’s commercial website.
Now, my question stands: you are NOT okay with the president outright lying to the public, correct?

Trump was elected president by a majority vote. It was comprehensive, encompassing both the popular and electoral vote. You may not like it, just like much of the country did not like the previous admin. But it is what it is.
Funny that you opted to go with personal insults when what you initially said is so easy to reference.
Not the majority on this forum. But in the country? See the recent election.
That clearly said country not voters, why you chose to lie about your statement is perplexing.
Majority is a noun that in general means “the greater part or number; the number larger than half the total.” However, in terms of voting and elections, majority is defined as “a number of voters or votes, jurors, or others in agreement, constituting more than half of the total number.” It also refers to the party or group with the majority vote.
For example: Eleanor was thrilled to win the majority of votes for class president and couldn’t believe 76% of students supported her.
In order to win the majority, the number of votes needs to be more than half or 50%.
That clearly states that the majority has to be more than half of 50%
Plurality is a noun that, like majority, can mean more than half of the whole. However when it comes to voting, plurality refers to “the excess of votes received by the leading candidate, in an election in which there are three or more candidates, over those received by the next candidate.” This means that someone who wins the plurality of votes received more than any of the other candidates but not necessarily the majority.
For example, Gabriel won the plurality for school vice president with 40 percent of votes while Kiara came in with 35 percent and Carl with 25 percent. If Gabriel had received 54%, he would have received both the majority and plurality.
Note that the example uses a three way race.
Trump won 49.8% of the vote. He had the most votes but he did not get or exceed 50%. Therefore he has a plurality not a majority. Your claim of a majority is objectively false and seems to stem from you not knowing the definition of the word. Claiming he had the most votes or a plurality would be correct, he didn't have a majority.
It really says a lot about your character that you won't admit to making mistakes (seriously, majority vs. plurality is a pretty common mistake), that will demand citations from others but don't read citations when they are provided, that you regularly rely on personal attacks, that you will attack people for making false statements while repeatedly making false statements and that you will outright lie* to make a point. It really comes off as a fairly low level of emotional intelligence and pride in being ignorant.
* Example of you outright lying. You claimed you got a big raise but didn't get any more in your take home pay due to moving to a higher tax bracket. All the comment ultimately did was demonstrate that you don't know idea how tax brackets work and expose your claim about a big raise to be a lie. What you described literally cannot happen, anyone that has gotten a raise that moves them to new tax bracket would have known that. I can speak pretty confidently on this one, In my professional career I have gone from making 15k a year to being in the top 5% of income earners in the U.S. and what you are describing has never happened, not once. He will no doubt be questioned by cnn or nbc or whoever and he will answer. That’s how things are done.
Oh no! Him then speaking on it is somehow bad? LOL GET A GRIP.

I may not be a master of tax brackets, but the reality still hits annd the net pay wasnt a marked increase. And even if I made an error in understanding, that’s clearly a mistake or understsnding. Much different than something so purposely deceptive as you or spheric putting words in someone’s mouth who never said them, just to pretend to have a point.
