  • Apple TV+ review: 'See' is no 'Game of Thrones'

I remember reading that there was a lot of executive interference from Apple, including from Cook himself when it comes to the Apple TV+ shows. It seems to be materializing in all these lackluster upcoming shows! I fear this experiment from Apple is going to be the first of all these upcoming streaming services to flop big time! Unless they manage to really get their act together, and quickly!

  • Google Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL boasts first radar-based depth-sensing functionality

given the leap out of the gate when google first released the pixel phones, this seems a very slight upgrade. are they not interested?
Well hardly anybody purchases Google smartphones, so I expect company interest has wained somewhat.

  • Apple expected to release iPad Pro, MacBook Pro with Mini LED displays

I’d still rather have the elegance and picture quality of a true OLED display, rather than just a glorified type of backlight, it’s still basically an LCD. This reminds me of Samsung’s QLED TVs. Which admittedly in their latest generation have great OLED rivaling image quality apparently, but at the end of the day, it’s still an LCD display requiring a backlight.

  • Kuo: 2020 iPhone will borrow from iPhone 4 metal frame design

The iPhone 4/4S outer frame was stainless steel not aluminum! And it was overall Apple’s best iPhone design to date, with the iPhone 5 series a very close second. Just slim it down and elongate it to have a contemporary design for the ‘modern’ age, so to speak. Really looking forward to the 2020 iPhones, and I haven’t been for a few years now. I’m still hoping for 2020 that Apple can eliminate the notch completely. But unlikely unfortunately.

  • How Apple has designed the iPhone 11 for everybody

It's anecdotal, but I agree. I killed my iPhone 11 Pro Max, which was available to pick up last Friday, for a white iPhone 11 that won't be available until October 10th. I've never gotten a lower-end iPhone before but this model is a major improvement over what I've been using and it's ridiculously well priced at $700. I don't think I'd get a big benefit from the much improved camera models in the Pro models. The battery life will be missed, but I'm still getting a nice bump. No midnight green probably caused me the most hemming and hawing in my decision.

The iPhone 11 is not ‘far faster’ than the Xr. It is only 20% faster and in real world tests, no one will notice any significant differences.
I'd say that 20% is significant. Not many things have a 20% gain YoY.
Indeed! I’m the same...in that I find I want to zoom into something far more often than I want a wider field of view.
